I have tried several dentists in the Wilmington area. Live Oak Dental is by far the absolute best dental experience I have ever had. From the first moment of calling for an appointment to check out the entre team is professional, caring and truly make you feel like family. Big shout out to Hannah. She was wonderful.

I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews but I must concerning Dr Dan Duffy and Live Oak Dental. I went to Dr Duffy for an emergency root canal shortly after the pandemic began and have been so traumatized by my experience that I am just now writing about it. A completely haphazard office. No masks or PPE?? No concern or care for patients. Furthermore, I remember him looking at the x-ray of my infected tooth and being completely stumped and asking his dental assistant for advice. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (That really shook my confidence in him. Dr Duffy was the doctor, not the assistant Cody.) I have now found a dentist who is sure of herself and her decisions as a dentist. A major red flag to me was that Dr Duffy was offering a Yeti filled cooler raffle for any patient who left a positive Google review. To me that makes for untruthful, biased reviews. Go see Dr Simpson at Wilmington Smile Design. You will so impressed with her utmost care and professionalism that you will leave a favorable review just for the sake of complimenting her… no strings attached!

I haven’t been to a dentist in years. I went today and had the most incredible expo have ever had at any dentist ever. They made me feel so informed from the moment I walked in until I walked out the door. Didn’t try to do procedures I didn’t need. The staff went above and beyond to insure I understood everything they were going to do, were doing and going to do. The staff most importantly made me feel comfortable and confident in the care being given. I highly recommend them to anyone especially those who are anxious about even going to a dentist. I promise you won’t regret it!

I had an amazing experience at Live Oak Dental! This was my first time visiting them for my annual dental exam and everyone there was very friendly and accommodating of me. All my questions were answered in detail with necessary treatment suggestions along with thorough information on all the things that were being done on my teeth. Looking forward to my future visits with them! Thank you so much!

I can’t speak highly enough about this dentist office. I have terrible anxiety when it comes to dental appointments. Dr Duffy and his staff put me at complete ease. The level of professionalism and kindness is a 10/10.
